Individual support and personal commitment to a successful apprenticeship
Apprentices who have a hard time finding a vocational training position and complete an apprenticeship due to their school performance or their social environment should be individually supported so that they can complete their apprenticeship with their own commitment and efforts. Young people are supported and empowered in individual coaching sessions that are potential-oriented, low-threshold, pragmatic and goal-oriented.
The Hirschmann Foundation awards scholarships to apprentices in line with this objective.
Partner
The Hirschmann Foundation's partner is DIE CHANCE, the Foundation for Professional Practice in Eastern Switzerland. It supports and promotes young people between the ages of 15 and 22. Its task is to integrate young people into vocational training and to accompany them until they successfully complete their apprenticeship. DIE CHANCE supports and promotes the transition to working life. The support program is free of charge for young people.
Targeted cooperation
Trained job coaches accompany the young people during their search for an apprenticeship and throughout the entire apprenticeship period until they successfully complete it. DIE CHANCE is well networked in the area in which it operates. Coordinated and targeted cooperation with various partners - vocational and career guidance, case management at upper secondary level, vocational schools, training companies, SEMO, RAV, IV - enables optimal solutions to be found. Their range of services relieves the burden on young people, parents, the state and the economy.
The DIE CHANCE foundation is committed to helping young people with difficult circumstances: Excessive demands, difficult social environment, migration background. It offers tailor-made support measures in the decisive phases so that this risk group can also successfully complete an apprenticeship.
Thanks to DIE CHANCE, young unemployed and unemployable people are supported and empowered in a potential-oriented manner. Over 80% of the apprentices supported successfully complete their training and over 90% subsequently find employment or a follow-up solution.
