Scaling up the mentoring programme

A successful start to working life thanks to the mentoring programme

ROCK YOUR LIFE! Switzerland is made up of 9 local companies from right across Switzerland. With their mentoring programme, they are helping young people to make a successful start to working life. The support is aimed at pupils with Special Educational Needs and young refugees. The programme lasts a year, during which the young people receive individual support from specially trained mentors as they enter the world of work, building confidence in their own abilities and integrating into the workplace and wider society.

Scaling up mentoring: sustainable recruitment of volunteers

ROCK YOUR LIFE! is planning to increase the number of supported mentoring pairs by 40% in the next two years to make 200 new mentoring pairs per year. This project will increase the number of mentors available whilst simultaneously ensuring that the young people receive high-quality support they can rely on. This will enable every young person with SEN to be given effective support as they start apprenticeships and enter the world of work.

The Hirschmann Foundation is providing CHF 90,000 of funding for this programme.
