Fit4Care

The Hirschmann Foundation supports the innovative solution approach to promote sustainable labour integration in the care sector, especially in domestic work and in care and nursing/day-to-day assistance. The goal is that 70% of programme participants will be integrated into the labour market after two years from the start of the programme.

In addition to providing career guidance in theoretical and practical modules, the programme also focuses on:

  • Language and IT support
  • Group and individual coaching
  • Job application coaching
  • Promotion of potential & professional independence
  • Referral to partner network for domestic or nursing internships and corresponding work competences

The training programme focuses increasingly on personal development and reflection as well as exercises to identify and strengthen the participants' personal skills. In addition, information events are organised with potential employers.

Crescenda

Crescenda is the first Swiss start-up centre for micro-enterprises founded by women with migration experience and it has supported them on their path to sustainable social and economic integration since 2004. The annual course and training programme is continuously being further developed. The courses offered include a start-up programme for micro-enterprises and collective enterprises (cooperatives) as well as vocational training in the areas of catering/housekeeping/care.

Crescenda follows the potential approach and specifically promotes the empowerment and self-efficacy of the course participants. After successfully completing the course, the participants continue to be supported by Crescenda on their professional journey.

The Crescenda start-up centre addresses women with migration experience who reside in Switzerland and have a legal right of residence, who have a basic proficiency in the German language, both written and spoken, and who wish to develop professionally and personally.
