Democracy Hubs in Switzerland

Democracy hubs in Switzerland is an educational project designed to foster democratic values, critical thinking, and civic engagement among Ukrainian youth, promoting the democratic revival of Ukraine.

The Klitschko Foundation in collaboration with the Hirschmann-Stiftung have initiated this project to empower Ukrainian youth by offering them a platform for active participation in the country’s democratic process. Additionally, the project aims to educate young people using the model of social and civic institutions in Switzerland, renowned as one of the most democratic countries in the world.

Teenagers aged 14-16 years old from different regions of Ukraine can participate in the project.

Online-course and study visit in Switzerland

Das Projekt umfasst einen digitalen Kurs, der auf der Impactum-Plattform für jedermann online verfügbar ist, und einen Studienaufenthalt in der Schweiz für bis zu 80 Jugendliche, die den digitalen Kurs erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben.

Der Kurs ist kostenlos und rund um die Uhr für jedermann zugänglich. Die Jugendlichen können die Lektionen auf der Impactum-Plattform abrufen. Während des Kurses werden sich die Teilnehmer mit der demokratischen Gesellschaft, der ukrainischen Mentalität, der digitalen Demokratie und der Desinformation auseinandersetzen. Der Studienaufenthalt zielt darauf ab, junge Menschen mit den Fähigkeiten und dem Wissen auszustatten, die sie benötigen, um die demokratische Entwicklung der Ukraine voranzutreiben.
