The Get Together of Hirschmann scholarship holders took place on December 2, 2016 and was successfully hosted by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. For the first, it time took place in Lucerne’s Marian hall and the atrium of the opposite government building..

At the center of the attention were Valentine Yerly, Lukas Gruntz, Valentina Paraschevici and Jonas Hess, four scholarship holders who participated in a panel discussion.

Alexandra Richter, Head of the University Services at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, interviewed the scholarship holders about their studies, their professional objectives and how they benefit from their scholarships.

Alexandra Richter is the new person responsible for the disbursement of the Hirschmann scholarships at Swissuniversities, Chamber of UAS.

Prof. Dr. Crispino Bergamaschi, president of the Chamber of UAS, informed about the latest developments at the Swiss UAS and emphasized the significance of Master study programs. Swissuniversities, Chamber of UAS, is the Hirschmann-Foundation’s new partner for scholarship disbursements.

The scholarship program aims at supporting and motivating UAS students during their Master studies. The Hirschmann-Foundation sets great value upon sponsoring students who do not only stand out because of their extraordinary performance, but who can also impress by their social commitment.

The event was musically accompanied by Olivia Grabowska and Alicia Rieckhoff, both of whom are Master students holding a Hirschmann scholarship.

Under the motto 'That's why', the scholarship holders recorded and screened short videos in which they stated what is important to them regarding their studies and their professional future.

During the subsequent reception in the atrium of Lucerne’s government building, guests and participants were given the opportunity to get to know each other and to network beyond university borders.
